Euro-Funding is a Spanish consulting firm specialized in the management of public financing for R+D projects, optimization of taxes related to real estate, cost consulting and sustainable strategies for business development projects.

We are looking for purchasing process consultants with superior training in careers such as ADE, Civil Engineering, Roads, Industrial, or similar. The selected people will join our Cost Solutions team, in our Madrid delegation, under the supervision of a Senior Project Manager.


The role will focus on the different categories for cost solution improvement that we manage. Main categories will be Packaging, Logistics, MRO

The role is to develop category strategies that drive cost savings, spend under management and strategic alignment with customers.

The role will utilize spend analytics, sourcing management processes and tools to develop category strategies, rationalize and select suppliers, manage key supplier relationships, as well as negotiate contract pricing, terms and conditions, assess continuity of business.

Additionally, he/she will create category efficiencies that might be implemented cross customers.

Scope / Dimensions of role

  • Lead implementation of cost-reduction and spend management projects with customers.
  • Working on category strategy. Propose, present and get approval for category strategies and contracting terms. Takes relevant decisions when conducting sourcing processes with different customers.
  • The position has a direct impact on customers measurements and results such as cost of Goods and NWC.
  • Developing world-class suppliers that can bring or jointly develop innovative products, will also impact top line growth.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of a supplier base that can generate competitive advantage.
  • The role includes activities in order to design a proper supplier base across the world as well as to keep a relationship with major suppliers that will guarantee access to innovation.
  • Cost, quality & service, innovation, speed to market, fast roll-out and net working capital improvement are the most important business needs with different focus and prioritisation in the managed portfolio.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Develops and support implementation of projects across customers
  • Works closely customers and Cost Team understanding needs, objectives and priorities to optimise total cost, quality and service.
  • Understands different material spends across the business, analyses category markets and translates into actionable strategies and forward-looking analyses. Identifies, selects and develops suppliers, negotiates and closes deals according to the different strategies agreed with Cost Director.
  • Establishes strategic relationships with supply base and implements supplier management strategies. Motivates suppliers to treat the company as preferred customer in presenting innovation and/or cost/efficiency projects
  • Accountable to continuously improve supplier performance including service and quality.
  • Monitors and identifies risks and opportunities involved in each sourcing process. Drive the customers to mitigate identified risks. Push the customers to move towards opportunities adopting creative solutions.

Professional Qualifications / Experience

  • Degree qualified preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Business or other relevant discipline. MBA advantageous.
  • Proven experience in working in a fast moving and result driven environment which demands to work under pressure.
  • High degree of fluency of English is required for negotiations and internal communications. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • Unsurpassed negotiation techniques with exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills.
