CSR has three main aspects: working conditions for employees, collaboration on social projects and care for the environment. It involves assuming triple responsibility: economic, social and environmental, based on compliance with legislation and good diligence.
Because we believe in the human profile of organizations and therefore in their commitment and responsibility to society.
Now that the number of applicants is much higher as a result of the coronavirus crisis, we want to ask for a voluntary contribution to the #equipoefsolidario formed by employees, customers and collaborators.
The Euro-Funding Management doubled the amount collected and made the donation to FESBAL.
The following are some of the initiatives carried out:
CGdO (Certificate of Guarantee of Origin of Renewable Energy)
At Euro-Funding, through a contract with ODF energía, we have acquired the CGdO Certificate of Guarantee of Origin for renewable energy, with which the CNMC certifies that we produce a certain amount of electricity through renewable energy or high efficiency cogeneration.
The objective of this certification is to provide detailed information to the consumer about the origin of the energy he or she receives and the environmental impact that its production has had. Likewise, from our organization we can say that from May 1, 2020 we consume renewable energy in our offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Bilbao.
On the occasion of Women’s Day, we at Euro-Funding have taken an oath to ensure that the sex with which we were born does not condition anyone with regard to Human Rights, Job Opportunities and Responsibilities.
On the occasion of the #UNIVERSALCHILD’SDAY on November 20, the children of the employees of the companies of Euro-Funding joined the #EquipoEFsolidario (#EFSolidarityTeam) and were photographed with our corporate backpack.
The children have made our backpack one more toy to remind us that we must do everything in our power to ensure that children grow up free, respected and with rights.
Under the hashtag #EquipoEFsolidario (#EFSolidarityTeam) members of the companies of Euro-Funding were immortalized throughout the week dyed pink and also raised more than 200 euros by buying the solidarity bracelet of the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
The AECC promoted different hashtags such as #ContigoDamosLaCara (#WithYouWeCanFaceIt) and #súmatealrosa (#JoinThePink) which were used by millions of people to join the fight.
The carbon footprint makes it possible to quantify the greenhouse gas emissions that are released into the atmosphere as a result of a given activity. Since 2014 there has been a carbon footprint, offsetting and carbon dioxide absorption projects register with the Ministry of Ecological Transition. We have calculated our Carbon Footprint for the 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 annuities, obtaining a downward trend in emissions in our fourth year (2017). This has allowed us to reflect on the seal the shading of “CALCULATE” and “REDUCE”. Below is the breakdown of emissions for the last Carbon Footprint calculated, which corresponds to the year 2017.
Some of the actions carried out to reduce its emissions are: awareness and information for employees and a sustainable review of the Company’s services.
WE ARE COMMITTED TO SUSTAINABILITY
We launched five proposals that will be developed in all our workplaces:
Elimination of paperwork and development of technological tools for carrying out corporate management.
ecoTIPS: healthy habits are shared to encourage paper saving.
Paper saving challenge: a target has been defined to reduce the number of printed copies.
Replacement of the car fleet with more efficient systems.
Promotion of recycling in the delegations.
For this initiative we have the participation of @Ecoembes, which have certified us as a Sustainable Work Centre and implemented a system of selective collection of packaging.
CERTIFICATES UNDER THE INTEGRATED QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM 9.001, ENVIRONMENTAL 14.001 AND ENERGY 50.001.
We have implemented our own Integrated Management System, which is a convergent management mechanism to streamline, coordinate and organize the work, and thus achieve the optimal development of their various activities without losing sight of sustainability.
This certificate demonstrates the ability to consistently provide products or services that meet our customer’s requirements and applicable regulations. This international standard promotes the adoption of a process-based approach when developing, implementing and improving the effectiveness of a quality management system, based in turn on the continuous improvement cycle PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act).
The implementation offers us the possibility of systematizing, in a simple way, the environmental aspects generated in each of the activities we develop, as well as promoting environmental protection and pollution prevention from a point of view of balance with socioeconomic aspects.
Among other environmental advantages, we optimize the management of resources and waste, we reduce the negative environmental impacts derived from the activity or those risks associated with accidental situations.
Certification of an energy management system ensures systematic control and monitoring of energy aspects and continuous improvement of energy performance. This contributes to a more efficient and sustainable use of energy, giving confidence in the management system.
The certificates issued by AENOR allow us to accredit our commitment to the environment, minimizing impacts and favoring the best management of resources.
CAMPAIGN TO ENCOURAGE EMPLOYEE BLOOD DONATION
We launched an awareness campaign among our employees to encourage blood donation. Blood is the most valuable gift we can give to another person: the gift of life. The decision to donate blood can save one life, or even several if the blood is separated into components – red blood cells, platelets and plasma – which can be used individually for patients with specific diseases.
The number of blood donations has stabilized in Spain over the last five years, at around 1.7 million per year, which is 36.6 donations per 100,000 inhabitants, one hundred thousand less than in 2010, according to data from the National Foundation for the Promotion of Altruistic Donation in Spain, Fundaspe.

AGREEMENT WITH THE SEUR FOUNDATION FOR THE COLLECTION OF CAPS
We have signed a collaboration agreement with the Seur Foundation to promote the project TAPONES PARA UNA NUEVA VIDA®, which consists of the delivery of plastic caps to a recycling plant to help children with serious health problems.
All our Spanish offices join the initiative and will be 6 collection points for all our employees.
With this action we want to awaken people’s solidarity. Behind a gesture as simple as not throwing a cap in the trash can help save lives, a reward that is worth a lot in exchange for so little.
Every Christmas we launch several economic contribution and food collection campaigns in favour of the most underprivileged, duplicating the Company’s contributions made by all its staff and channelling them through various NGOs. In the 2017 campaign, the proceeds were donated to the CEAR, the Spanish Commission for Refugee Aid.
