Why it is a good opportunity to install solar panels

Our colleague Enrique Roca, Technical Director of the Sustainability team, explains in the following report published in El Economista, why it is a good opportunity to install solar panels.

However, there are some peculiarities when it comes to installing them. There are lines of aid ranging from 15% to 45% for the generation of energy through photovoltaic technology and from 45% to 65% for storage, including the placement of canopies for car parking or removing asbestos on roofs. Similarly, budgets are much more affordable than they were a few years ago. Unfortunately, the price of electricity is changing the profitability of any project and in one year we have seen a big increase.

Equally, companies are looking to reduce CO2 emissions as a whole, so opting for renewable energy generation is a considerable option. However, with a change of contract with the supplier it is immediate, with a certification of renewable origin. At present, electrical technological solutions are being sought instead of fossil fuel consumption, so there is greater demand for electricity.

Enrique tells us that there is a lot of use and that the existence of subsidies and the high demand has increased the price, which had a downward trend. On the other hand, another reason is the general rise in raw materials, but these concepts are not always related.
